Welcome
What an exciting and courageous journey you are embarking on in exploring therapy! The decision of who to work with in therapy is a significant one. It is essential that the person is someone you feel safe with, who will help you with the things most important to you, and who is skilled in approaches and theories that will help. I hope this site gives you helpful information along these lines as you decide if I may be that person .

I am a mental health counselor licensed in the state of Indiana (LMHC). I have provided individual, couples, marriage, family, and group therapy in Greater Lafayette, Indiana since 2004. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Grove City College, Grove City, PA; a Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando, FL; and a Two-Year Certificate in Advanced Training in Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from The Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, Chicago, IL.
I will work carefully and with sensitivity to respect and understand the ways you have learned to protect and keep yourself emotionally safe and regulated in life. I appreciate that these ways have developed often over many years and will be most open to changing and letting go when you feel deeply understood, empathized with, and validated in the counseling relationship. Feeling confident that I will respond and relate to you in safe, satisfying, and sensitive ways will allow your self to open up, be vulnerable, take in the relational care and compassion I offer, and grow and get stronger. The hopeful, energized, and lighter self that results is the one you will then experience life out of and through. I look forward to the privilege and opportunity of working with you on such a worthwhile journey.
